Founded in 2001, under its previous name, Oxford Property Consultants (OPC), the firm established the first subscription global database of unlisted real estate funds, fund managers and investors. While OPC continued to supply data and advisory services to its client base, it also developed a multi-manager and fund of funds business and became FCA authorised. This development led to the sale of OPC to CBRE Global Investors, and the transfer of its £100 million AuM to CBRE. At the time, the research and information business (rebranded Property Funds Research) was re-acquired by its management. Since then, PFR has continued to build and develop our in-house global funds database as well as provide high-quality market research, investment advisory services and strategic consulting to both fund managers and Institutional investors. We are well-known throughout the global real estate industry for our independent research and indirect market knowledge. We produce the most comprehensive annual survey of global real estate fund managers, published by IREI Inc. Coupled with our authoritative database of unlisted funds, managers and investors, we are extremely well placed to provide invaluable insights into market trends and developments. PFR has worked on research projects with industry bodies including INREV, EPRA, AREF, IPF, and the ULI, as well as working with academics, pension funds, property companies, actuaries and managers.
