Property Industry Foundation

The Property Industry Foundation is an independent industry charity that is for homeless youth. Over young Australians aged 12 to 24 years were estimated to be homeless on Census night 2021. Young people are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of homelessness, not only to their education and transition to employment, but also to the formation of stable and healthy relationships. Affordable, suitable and stable housing is fundamental in ensuring the economic, social, psychological & physical wellbeing of young people. ¹ As the creator of homes and communities, our industry can and should play a role in addressing youth homelessness. Our vision is a safe home for every young Australian. Our mission is to increase the number of bedrooms available for homeless youth and support initiatives that have a tangible impact on youth homelessness. We do this through partnerships with other charities, companies and staff in the property and construction industry.
