Protocol One

The Protocol One team is a group of engineers and businesspeople who founded the gaming portal 4game.ru (one of the first video game publishing platforms in Europe). Then, in 2005, they founded Innova, which is currently one of the top three players in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) video game industry. The team has played a role in the management of companies such as Gravity (the developers of Ragnarok Online), Xenon Interactive, and Valhalla Networks. Since 2010 the Protocol One team has been developing the GameNet digital distribution platform (one of the top three MMO publishers in Russia). GameNet’s partners include Nexon (TYO:3659), Pearl Abyss Corp (KOSDAQ:263750), Barunson (KOSDAQ: 018700), and Kongzhong (Bloomberg). The platform already offers proprietary solutions to owners of video game IP, and the team will also implement these solutions as open-source code in the Protocol One ecosystem. GameNet’s proprietary solutions include DRM, anti-cheat mechanisms, traffic integration, pass-through user attribution, programmatic traffic predictors, a launcher, and detailed analysis of organic conversion rates and sales.
