Protostar Initiative

Protostar Initiative is a social enterprise whose primary focus is mental health education and advocacy. We are a youth-led organization who understand the mental health issues in Nigeria and are committed to developing innovative solutions to solving these problems and the narrative, one person at a time. We recently launched a radical online story-telling platform that leverages the power of thousands of individual voices for advocacy and education by creating an open platform for people living with MH conditions to share their own self-created stories and experiences including challenges they have faced (bullying, stigma etc), the world they envision and possible solutions to the problems. This framework creates an offline safe space and collective community of people living with MH conditions where they can share ideas, discuss and even network with one another. Our online platform also provides mental health services to people by answering any questions they would have regarding mental health conditions while providing a form of counseling and therapy through a network of professional volunteers.
