Proving Innocence

Proving Innocence's mission is to help free those wrongly convicted. Our four missions are:(1) providing experienced investigators to work with those wrongfully convicted to substantiate claims of actual innocence;(2) producing video documentaries of unjust convictions to educate the public and policy makers on how they occur and the need for redress;(3) supporting procedural, structural, and legal reforms in the criminal justice system to reduce or prevent wrongful convictions; and (4) helping exonerees connect with post-release services to facilitate a successful return to society. Our primary mission is that of providing experience investigators, professional and volunteer, to work on cases in cooperation with other innocence projects. We will work with the University of Michigan Innocence Clinic during our initial development.
