The name Proxigean comes from the description of a proxigean tide which happens when the sun, earth and moon are in perfect alignment and the moon is closet in orbit to the earth. This phenomenon usually happens about once every 12 -18 months and produces extremes of tidal movement. In 2018, very unusually, there are two proxigean tides, one the 2nd January and 13th July. Hence our tag line – Strategy, People and Processes in perfect alignment.
