Psychosocial Therapy

Luis Cornejo (He, Him, His) is a Queer, Indigenous, Bilingual Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. He is the son of two immigrants and the first in his family to obtain both a bachelor's and master's degree in the U.S. Luis graduated from California State University, Long Beach with his Masters's degree in Counseling Psychology (2015). He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University (2011). His therapeutic interests include working with Trauma, the LGBTQ community, Latinx, and BIPOC folx. He is also the founder of PsychoSocial, a multimedia platform created to help provide mental health education. Most currently, Luis is working on becoming a certified sex therapist. Through his training Luis hopes to use sex therapy as an opportunity for individuals to explore their fantasies, sexual trauma, sexuality/identity, and provide space to heal through sexual empowerment. Luis’s philosophy as a therapist is to embrace the mantra “human first, then a therapist.” This means that he is not here to be an expert, but rather someone with the knowledge to assist you on your therapeutic journey.
