Public Organization Jahoni Mo

The public organization “Our World” works towards empowering women and youth in the field of STEM, particularly in the area of robotics. PO “Our world” was registered in 2009 within the Justice department of Sughd region. From 2009 to 2022, PO Jahoni mo has successfully implemented the program of the US Embassy – “American Space Khujand”; within the framework of this program, more than educational programs in the field of technology innovation were conducted for the development of our community, attracting youth and empowering them through the power of education. Since 2018, the public organization “Our World” has annually signed an agreement on the participation of Tajik youth in robotics competitions with the non-profit organization “First Global”, which is located in the U.S. In 2019, our team, in collaboration with the education department of the city of Khujand, presented Tajikistan at the international level. The team consisted of three schoolchildren and two mentors. The competition took place in the city of Dubai, the theme of which was to save the oceans from waste using technology, namely robotics. The competition brought together about 190 countries from all over the world and also became the beginning of the development of robotics in our community. In 2024, our NGO started implementing a project to empower women and girls through IT and well-being. The project was funded by the Office of the Roving Ambassador of Finland in Central Asia and is being implemented in partnership with the American Space Khujand, local IT company TajSoft and the JuniorCode programming school. Through this project over 120 women and girls from rural areas gained STEM and well-being skills.
