Purplespoonevents was launched in 2012 and in that time we have grown from 2 employees to 10. We are a great team of passionate cooks with lots of experience in home cooking and we show our love of food and customer service in everything that we deliver. We have also diversified and grown our offer enormously over the last few years. As well as running an events management company and catering for a wide variety of events all over Somerset and the South West, including weddings and other special occasions such as catering on the Flying Scotsman as it made a historic journey through the South West, we also offer monthly pop-up restaurants and private dining as well as running our latest addition, an independent cafe, a real local gem, hidden inside the YMCA in Bridgwater. Throughout the year you will also find us aboard the Quantock Belle dining train of the West Somerset Railway, serving 4 course lunches and suppers to 70 hungry diners. Here at the Purplespoon cafe, you will find a friendly, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy great home cooked food or something to drink at very reasonable prices.(We are now also offering our own-label specially imported Italian wine which we are very excited about!) This family friendly cafe is open to everyone from Monday-Friday 8am-7pm and Saturday from 9am - 4pm. Available for private hire for a host of occasions and with children's birthday parties not only catered for but entertainment provided as well: we can provide music, crafts, magicians, bouncy castles - you name it. We host a weekly 'silver supper club' and a monthly open mic night as well as regular live music slots, international dining events, business breakfasts, community meals, pizza making workshops, craft workshops, baby and toddler mornings and a whole lot more. We also have space for local artists to exhibit and sell their work and not forgetting to mention that we recently won the Somerset Life award for Best Family Dining experience in Somerset 2018.
