Purrista Cat Cafe

What is a CAT CAFE? The concept originated in Asia and slowly migrated to the U.S. It has since expanded to include finding homes for adoptable cats by working directly with a local animal shelter to bring adoptable cats through the café doors to draw attention to them as they wait for their forever homes. Picture this: You walk into your favorite cafe for a coffee or tea…maybe a snack made from a delicious local source … and as you are ready to sit down and enjoy - alas! What is this? You see another part of the cafe - but it’s separated by a wall of glass and there is another door which you could open and go in. But you are curious - what is in that room? So you approach the wall of glass and see that there are at least a dozen lovely cats playing with humans. Perhaps some kittens, too. You see about 15 people sitting inside this space and slowly start to realize how amazing it is! There are tables that people are sitting at and eating their snacks, having conversations… a couple of tables where people are sipping tea while a cat is sleeping in there lap … you see students sitting at stationary desks doing work on their laptops as they pet cats jumping on and off the desks and then you finally see this amazing space for people to relax in a sea of comfort while snuggling with cats. This is a cat cafe, friends. You get this amazing opportunity to come and hang out in a space with cats. Appointment only! We don’t want to overwhelm this majestic creatures. And every single one of them - will be available for adoption.
