Push Towards Merit
Push Towards Merit (PTM) is a New Delhi based, Student-led initiative to make legal education inclusive for deprived students. Professionals, Academics and senior-students mentor the deprived students and get them the exposure they lack at home or law school. In 2018, PTM was founded by Husain Aanis Khan with the goal of making legal education more accessible and inclusive. Indian Research confirms that high quality legal education in India is exclusive for disadvantaged salient social groups (please see Readings Section). We have successfully trained deprived students in public speaking and discussions. To enhance their understanding of the legal profession, we also provide students with internships and one-on-one mentorship.
