Marquicia Jones-Woods founded Q-KIDZ in 1982 with a single purpose: to empower youth living in poverty and experiencing drug related crime in Cincinnati’s West End neighborhood. What started as a one woman effort to engage youth in positive after-school activities has grown into a nationally recognized and award-winning dance program that empowers over one-hundred girls a year between the ages of four and eighteen. Q-KIDZ leverages dance as a platform to educate, nurture, and build self-esteem amongst its team members and to instill the value of education and living drug free.
