Qima Coffee is an international integrated equitable specialty coffee sourcing and trading business with operations in Yemen, Colombia and Ecuador. Working directly with thousands of smallholder farmers, the company operates a fully traceable and transparent supply chain, with in-country presence across all the origins it operates in, and in-market presence in 8 geographies. With deep expertise in agronomy, coffee processing, genetics, marketing and distribution, Qima seeks to pioneer innovation-led value creation in the coffee supply chain, and in doing so, deliver more value to farmers, whilst supporting roasters in developing equitable supply chains. Founded in 2016, Qima was first established to source coffee from Yemeni smallholder farmers in the midst of the civil conflict, and has grown to become Yemen’s largest and most impactful specialty coffee exporter. After achieving significant impact at scale in Yemen, Qima announced its expansion into Colombia in 2020, and into Ecuador in 2022, as it evolved from being a single origin exporter, to a multi-origin coffee sourcing business with equitability at its core.
