QLDS is a US based digital freeform lens design software company serving the global optical community. Michael Walach has developed and patented the first true multifocal lens concept, the Natural Accommodation Lens, also known as NAL®. Consequently, Mr. Walach granted an exclusive global license to our company for the purpose of global proliferation of NAL®. The team of QLDS experts created a digital freeform lens design platform to enable mass reproduction of that concept. A revolutionary solution aimed to better life of Progressive Addition Lens ( aka PAL ) wearers became reality. The OmniLux® - World’s 1st NAL® lens has been developed in house and is available globally to optical labs capable of digital freeform production technology. This is possible thanks to seven-year long development effort focused to create a unique cloud based Lens Design System that allows virtually instant remote integration with any Lab Management System.
