Therefore, targeted drug delivery is preferred as an alternative method to reduce side effects and improve drug bioavailability. But there are problems of drug leakage before reaching the site. Hence CQDs (carbon quantum dots) are proposed to be efficient targeting agents with dual nano carriers properties of bioimaging and targeted drug delivery with minimum cytotoxicity.
