At QNS Services, we are the strategic partner of Quantum Bridge Technologies (QBT), delivering to the Japanese market their unique Distributed Symmetric Key Establishment (DSKE) protocol at the core of a solution called Symmetric-key Distribution System (SDS), which achieves information-theoretic security (ITS). Unlike conventional encryption that relies on computational hardness, DSKE provides unconditional security—even against future quantum computers. It represents a breakthrough in how secure key exchange can be achieved in the quantum era. Built on the principle of crypto agility, SDS allows seamless integration of DSKE with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum key distribution (QKD). This enables flexible deployment across current infrastructure and adaptability to future cryptographic advances. The combination of DSKE and PQC, especially QBT’s ML-KEM, significantly enhances security strength. Notably, this hybrid approach has been certified under the NIST Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP). SDS also integrates with QKD solutions from other vendors. While QKD ensures strong security, it faces distance limitations. Combined with SDS, these limitations are mitigated, enabling practical deployment across wide-area networks. Our goal goes beyond offering quantum-safe technology. We aim to help secure Japan’s critical infrastructure—financial systems, government, and defense—by building a resilient, quantum-ready communication foundation. We promote robust designs that are compatible with today’s networks while being agile against emerging threats. Together with QBT, we will continue to lead quantum security adoption in Japan and contribute to a secure, sustainable future through innovation and global standards development.
