The term covers classical IT law, privacy law, IT security law, telecommunication law and other regulations concerning the use of technologies, but also copyrights and other industrial property rights, technology transfer and the associated distribution models. In practice and by example, we can help you draft and negotiate IT contracts of all kinds, such as for cloud computing, outsourcing or software development using agile methods. We can also draw up licensing agreements, support the introduction of processes for the legally compliant use of open source software, or help our clients to find business models that comply with data protection law, including data protection notices. We have particular experience with the "legal design" of new products, in which these products are accompanied from development to market launch and beyond. In this process, the firm evaluates products under a variety of legal aspects, potential regulatory requirements are identified, and the necessary legal documents are drafted, e.g. purchase and development agreements, general terms and conditions for customers, data protection notices for users, licensing provisions, all the way to distribution agreements.
