Quadkids Limited

QuadKids is a short form athletics competition framework designed to give more children the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of athletics and also to help identify the stars of tomorrow. Formed in 2006, QuadKids received funding from England Athletics to promote QuadKids nationally and became the de-facto Athletics component of the School Games. Since the Olympic Games of 2012, QuadKids has continued to grow and is used across 80% of the counties in the UK for the athletics component of the School Games but also increasingly in schools for in-curriculum PE and also as an alternative to the traditional sports day for Primary Schools. QuadKids is a team based competition where each child does four events (sprint, run, long jump and a throw) and is primarily targeted at young athletes from the age of 7-13. Specifically designed to be inclusive, competitive, quick, fun and simple to run, QuadKids can operate in both schools and clubs, giving more children a sporting opportunity. In addition to QuadKids, the QuadKids team also developed a short form athletics programme for Secondary School age children called Super8. Based around traditional athletics but taking the elements of speed and inclusiveness from QuadKids, Super8 is a team based athletics competition that is in use widely in schools across the UK.
