The Quality Teaching Academy empowers teachers to enrich student learning by providing evidence-backed professional development, advocating for the teaching profession, and supporting a community of educators connected by a shared vision of quality teaching for every student. As a non-profit organisation, all proceeds are invested directly into rigorous research undertaken in partnership with the University of Newcastle’s Teachers & Teaching Research Centre, to continuously develop new insights and innovations in education. We understand and respect the complex work of teachers. Many of the Academy’s staff members are themselves experienced and practising teachers – they work alongside, and in partnership with, our leading education researchers, to create solutions and support for teachers and school leaders that are driven by evidence, results and a genuine understanding of the profession. Our professional development suite offers a range of opportunities, from short webinars to tailored whole school support. Our flagship program, Quality Teaching Rounds, is a teacher-led approach that honours participants as experts in their own classrooms. Our membership program is a comprehensive digital resource that gives teachers the flexibility to navigate their own professional development pathway, in their own way, in their own time. Our research and services are based on the nationally recognised framework, the Quality Teaching model. Developed by Dr James Ladwig with Laureate Professor and Head of the Quality Teaching Academy, Jenny Gore, this revolutionary way of understanding and refining pedagogy has already changed the way thousands of Australian teachers think and feel about their practice.
