With 30 years of experience in the IT industry, I’m considered a seasoned professional with expertise in areas of IT & Information security, engineering, consulting, and technical support. I currently run my own Security consultancy business, through which I help clients implement enterprise security solutions, making use of my broad hands-on experience in a variety of domains, and generally promoting IT and information security as a critical business requirement. I have worked in a number of senior IT Security positions in the financial industry, including “Senior IT Security Consultant” at Bankdata, Denmark, “Senior Security Risk Architect” at QNB, Qatar, and “Business Information Security Officer (BISO)” at Nordea bank, Luxembourg. Prior to this I worked in various consultancy and IT support roles across industries. My diverse experience provides me with an in-depth understanding of the technology and security challenges that different organizations face. I hold multiple industry certifications, including ISC2 CISSP, CCSP, ISACA CISM, CRISC, and CISA, as well as a number of prehistoric certifications, dating back to my early days in IT – including an MCSE certification. I have recently leveraged this expertise to help clients with Privileged Access Management (PAM) projects, Data Classification, secure infrastructure design, security testing, threat assessments, and other requirements in areas such as BCP/BCM/DR, HA systems, and development of security policies, standards and procedures. Personality-wise, I am considered to be flexible, easy-going, and optimistic. Traits I consider to be a very important part of my value proposition. This makes for a better collaboration, fostering stronger relationships with clients, as well as leading to enhanced creativity and open-mindedness, ultimately resulting in more successful implementations across the board. Another quirk of my personality is that I also enjoy writing documentation – in English or in Danish.
