QuotaGuard enables companies to share restricted access to protected resources via IP-based whitelisting and allow approved firewall passthrough connections to sensitive internal resources. QuotaGuard works both for inbound and outbound traffic, utilizing HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS protocols for access to web services, databases, and other network services. This allows traffic to pass through firewalls with a known IP address following application whitelisting with a third party.* QuotaGuard Shield routes traffic through a pair of permanent, load balanced, static IP addresses with a higher level of security than QuotaGuard Static, using HTTPS for outbound service and SSL Passthrough for inbound services. Shield allows companies to utilize Heroku’s Automated Certificate Management (ACM) or to use their own security certificates for increased security.* QuotaGuard routes traffic through a dynamic set of IP addresses that routinely rotate and is intended for accessing APIs that restrict usage based on IP address.
