Rabat Region Mobility

Rabat Region Mobility (RRM), formerly Société du Tramway de Rabat-Salé (STRS), is a local development company responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of mobility projects within the Rabat–Salé–Témara conurbation. RRM acts as project owner for major public transport infrastructure. In this capacity, it has delivered 27 km of tramway lines, from design through commissioning, and is currently leading the development of new Bus Rapid Transit (BHNS) networks, aimed at strengthening and expanding the public transport offer across the conurbation. Network operations are entrusted to specialised operators under delegation contracts. RRM ensures contract oversight, performance monitoring and overall system coherence, in close coordination with supervisory authorities, to guarantee service continuity and quality. In addition to transport infrastructure, RRM is also responsible for the management of underground car parks, the management of the vehicle impound facility, and other mobility- and parking-related facilities, contributing to an integrated and balanced approach to urban mobility and public space management.
