We are here to introduce a new concept i.e. online food ordering in train, in turn solving a major issue of fresh and hygienic food availability in trains. Indian Railways is one of the world's largest railway networks comprising km mi) of track over a route of 65,436 km (40,660 mi) and 7,172 stations. In 2013–14, IR carried 8,425 million passengers annually or more than 23 million passengers daily (roughly half of which were suburban passengers). With such a huge population travelling with Indian Railways it has been a big challenge to provide good quality food to the traveler. Rail Rider Team is committed to provide hot, tasty and hygienic food to our valued patrons travelling by train with the convenience of ordering food with the help of digital means. • Rail Rider can be accessed through a dedicated customer care number, Web portal or Mobile application. • Travelling patrons will be able to easily find out restaurants on the route and access menus of the restaurants to deliver food at the desired railway station. • Patrons can browse to select restaurant and order the food of their choice. • Payment can be done online using credit or debit card or can opt for cash on delivery. • A unique order id will be linked to the PNR no. and will be communicated through email and SMS. The customer can track the order by entering the order id in the web portal or mobile application.
