Raining Tree Films

Raining Tree Films exists to create independent films that allow writers and directors the space to be creative, innovative and experimental, but above all, unique. We don't make films just to make money (although it's always a bonus when they do), but we do aim to make films that push the boundaries of writing, acting and directing; films that are visually stimulating, sometimes understated, sometimes experimental. It doesn't have to be a new idea. It may be an old idea with a new approach. It may be an ordinary story with an unusual narrative. It may be a familiar plot featuring unfamiliar characters. We make no excuses for the films we produce but we do believe in making films that are artistically and sociologically relevant – in other words, films that say something. Not that we have any specific agenda except to ensure that we only produce work that we are proud of and that our audiences will find stimulating, evocative and honest. The Wrong Goodbye is our first feature film, based on the play of the same name by Stephen Rees. We have assembled a fine cast and crew and hope to start filming in August 2014, with a release date planned for some time in December 2014.
