Rainy River Resources Ltd.(RR:TSX) was a Canadian precious metals exploration company whose key asset was the advanced exploration stage Rainy River Gold Project, located in mining-friendly northwest Ontario, Canada. In October 2013, New Gold completed the acquisition of Rainy River Resources for approximately $310 million, or $3.83 per share which represented a 67% premium to Rainy River's 20-day volume weighted average trading price at the time of announcement in May of that year.
