Raising Hope Sa

Raising Hope SA believes in the notion of pay-it-forward. The organization was started by 12 year old Ashlyn Klinkradt as the vehicle in which she could contribute to the lives of those differently abled, to raise awareness and to encourage others to embrace our differences. As an organization we started the Hampers of Hope project which is a program aimed to help indigent families where there are neurologically impaired children. These children are in the care of the school system for the majority of the year but lack support during the school holidays. The Hampers of Hope project aims to uplift not only these children but also their families by providing hampers of food, blankets and other much needed necessities. There are also a number of projects on the go around supporting families where there are new diagnosis. Ashlyn continues to raise awareness through to talk at schools, churches, hospitals and conferences on various topics, and write poetry around various aspects of disability.
