Randolph Academy
Randolph Academy supports, empowers and educates K-12 students with social-emotional needs to live safely, behave responsibly and respectfully, advance toward their goals and succeed in the classroom. Our students are often living through difficult situations such as poverty, neglect, abuse or loss. We offer therapy, counseling and behavior management, as well as a 12-month academic program. Academic success is our priority. Our students consistently pass Regents exams at much higher rates than state averages for students with disabilities. In nearly every subject, our passing rates are at least 25% better! We also offer Career Technical Education (CTE), providing vocational training in the food service, cosmetology and barbery industries. This gives many students rewarding careers as self-sustaining adults. Our small class sizes and individual attention help students perform better, and our counselors have low caseloads, allowing them to provide support in the classroom and individually. Students also receive transitional support as they move on to college or begin their careers. Randolph Academy is also Western New York's expert in Restorative Justice, an alternative to punishment-based school discipline which has been consistently shown to be ineffective. This approach not only results in better behaving students and lower rates of absenteeism, it creates a culture of mutual respect. Our staff are Restorative Justice experts and are happy to share what we know. We host workshops on our campuses and travel to other districts to teach and implement restorative practices in their schools. Find out how you can learn from us!
