Randolph Rescue Squad

For nearly 60 years, the Randolph Rescue Squad (RRS) has served the Township of Randolph as a non-profit, fully volunteer service. The Squad’s primary goal is to provide emergency medical services within our community. While RRS covers Randolph in the evenings, overnight, throughout the weekend, and at various standby events in the community, the Township has contracted weekday daytime ambulance emergency care coverage with Atlantic Health EMS in a collaborative effort between Atlantic paid and RRS volunteer emergency services, which has mutually benefited residents and volunteers alike. New Jersey volunteer rescue and first aid organizations, including RRS, are required to operate in accordance with regulations set forth by the New Jersey Department of Health Office of Emergency Medical Services (NJDOH OEMS). These tough rules pertain to approved and certified rigorous training of volunteer members, mandated vehicle inspections, specified health care equipment, and adherence to official record-keeping and reporting guidelines set forth by the NJDOH OEMS.
