Rapidemic

Rapidemic is a Dutch-Danish diagnostic company based in Leiden, the Netherlands. The company was spun out of an MIT-award winning international synthetic biology competition in 2021. Rapidemic is on a mission to make quality diagnostics accessible to all worldwide and revolutionize molecular diagnostics with RapiDetect™, world's first equipment-free molecular diagnostic test platform for infectious diseases. Our first test under development is a 15-minute test for reliable diagnosis of highly prevalent sexually transmitted infections. Rapidemic is backed by the prestigious BioInnovation Institute in Copenhagen and has received over 2,7M$ from the Gates Foundation to respond to the urgent need for better diagnostics for sexual and women's health.
