We make traditional printed books linked up to the digital world. In RaRaRa Editores we are aware of the challenge that new technologies had become over the publishing industry. Although impossible to know if these will end up superseding the book as we know it today, our project focuses in making books that are connected with the digital world. We achieve our goal thanks to AR technology, which gives access to animations, 3D models, audio and video when showing certain printed images in the pages of a book to a webcam. And even beyond AR, we are aware of the new technological advances that, applied to a book, can be used in our publishing course. Thus we want to contribute to the transition of books to the new digital era, making paper printed works that allow our readers to enjoy and take advantage as well of the new resources offered by the digital media.
