Rare earth elements are critical components of clean energy and consumer technologies, but the supply chain is notoriously volatile and no sustainable U.S. production exists. At RareTerra, we use bacteria to selectively bio-mine REEs from primary and secondary, low-grade, and dilute materials. We are bolstering the U.S. rare earth supply chain by cutting production costs of REEs in half and lowering global warming potential by 90% using bacteria that have an innate affinity for these critical metals.
