Ravnsgaard Metal A S

Ravnsgaard Metal A/S is a full-service machining and metal processing company specializing in milling, turning, welding, and assembly. The company is the result of a merger between six companies within the metal industry. While not all elements of the original businesses were carried forward, the strongest and most capable units have been consolidated at our two sites in Randers and Herning, Denmark. The Herning site, formerly Ravnsgaard Smede- og Maskinværksted A/S, employs approximately 50 people. It is a versatile blacksmith workshop specializing in sheet and pipe processing, traditional metalwork, and welding in stainless steel, aluminum, and black iron. A fleet of well-equipped vans and small trucks supports on-site assembly, service, and industrial maintenance. The site also includes a dedicated machine shop focusing on the machining of small components in both metal and plastic materials. The Randers site, formerly Kurt Sørensens Maskinfabrik A/S, has around 70 employees and is specialized in the machining and processing of very large components—up to 20 tons. It also features a smaller blacksmith workshop and a fleet of well-equipped service vans. Randers is particularly strong in precision measurement, housing a large and advanced 3D measurement center capable of handling components up to 4 x 3 x 2 meters. Ravnsgaard Engineering, drawing on expertise from both locations, employs about 15 specialists. The unit provides engineering, design, and project management services in areas where we hold deep experience—such as welding (including EN1090 compliance), machining, and support for prototypes and low-volume (0-series) production.
