It’s about building from and onto your own wisdom, your own skills and strengths, your own vision and values. The question, then, isn’t whether coaching would benefit you. Regardless of the intersectionality of your identity, SB takes seriously her job of being a learner – curious about what she might learn from you but never looking for you to be her teacher. Your job is to focus on you; her job is to take whatever steps necessary to create space for you to do so. For her, that includes learning about cultures and identities that aren’t within her intersections *and* continuously exploring her own unconscious biases and her role in perpetuating and ending white supremacy. There are no irrelevant topics to coaching, no taboos, nothing within you that isn’t important to understanding the way to your bigger and badder.
