It features a modular design with each hexagonal module as a professional grade 4K video camera that can be snapped together to provide spatial resolutions of over 1 billion pixels, 3D modeling, and panoramic 6-degrees-of-freedom light-field content production. Compared with camera systems using legacy architectures, Beehive provides higher performance at a cost that is orders of magnitude cheaper. Facilitating such unprecedented clarity, immersiveness and efficiency is a portfolio of RayShaper algorithms that performs control, optimization and correction of both the operation of the camera hardware, as well as the visual data acquired in real-time even under extreme conditions. Also integrated is a broadcast quality, real-time ultra high-definition software video encoder that can be used as a stand-alone product or a cloud- based service for video streaming, conferencing and other applications.
