A firm developed by me that incorporated the use of and management of several consultants, and outside experts. RBM primarily purchased and resold new media properties such as websites, social media properties, and white hat mailing lists. My primary responsibilities included contacting both buyers & sellers to negotiate pricing along with managing a team of experts hired to handle the more technical aspects of the operation. Evaluate, purchase, reposition, and sell digital and social media properties. Identify potential buyers through professional networks and online resources. Maintain strong network relationships that facilitate sales and marketing. Determine pricing and sales strategies based on analysis of complex industries and digital marketing trends that change quickly. Negotiate and close agreements with both buyers and sellers. Attend industry events to evaluate new products and network with prospective clients. • Demonstrated an ability to evaluate and purchase products that could generate significant margin at re-sale. • Developed the skill needed to sell tangible products (websites, domain names) and intangibles (intellectual property). • Grew a business over 15 years, quickly navigating changes in technology and two significant market downturns.
