Rdc Youth

RDC Youth is a Birmingham based youth contemporary dance company for dancers aged 14 – 21 years of age who are proficient in both ballet and contemporary technique. The company of fifteen talented dancers are from in and around the Birmingham area and train under the artistic eye of Adam Rutherford. RDC Youth meet weekly on Saturday afternoons. The three hour session focuses on the delivery of contemporary technique to a professional standard and choreographic/creative tasks which feed directly into the company’s work for performance platforms. Founded in January 2013 and supported by DanceXchange. RDC Youth aim to produce original new work of a high standard for performance platforms as well as provide professional training and opportunities for young dancers/performers. With the support and guidance of the Artistic Director members may choose to work towards Arts Awards Bronze/Silver, join the Youth Dance Forum and choreograph their own new work on the company.
