Re4orm
Historically, there’s been no eco-friendly avenue for the disposal of synthetic turf in Australia — as with many products, the default is unfortunately landfill. RE4ORM was founded to solve this sustainability issue, by developing a one-of-a-kind recycling plant that can process and repurpose close to 100% of the components that make up synthetic turf. We disassemble old synthetic surfaces and transport them to our purpose-built, eco-conscious facility in Wodonga, regional Victoria. We reduce it to raw elements that can be recycled back into the industry and redistributed for use in local manufacturing as an alternative to virgin materials. With the capacity to process 4 to 5 tonnes of synthetic turf an hour, RE4ORM’s capabilities create opportunities to recover, reuse and recycle turf that was previously destined for landfill, which will reduce the overall carbon footprint of existing synthetic turf surfaces by approximately 45% — or tonnes a year. In the future, RE4ORM will expand on its recycling operations to responsibly and sustainably process waste from other industries, continuing to cater to organisations across Australia and reducing pressure on natural resources.
