Reach Ethiopia

REACH Ethiopia is a non-profit organization that works to improve the health and well-being of people in Ethiopia. We were founded in 2010 as a research organization, but we quickly realized that we could have a greater impact by implementing our research findings into projects. In 2013, we formally established ourselves as a fully-fledged local organization. Since then, we have implemented over 20 projects all over Ethiopia and worked with over 19 partners worldwide. We have a proven track record of taking on new initiatives and executing them prudently, while retaining good practices and disseminating the learning to other development actors. One of our most notable achievements is our pioneering utilization of GeneXpert machines for TB diagnosis. We were the first organization in Ethiopia to use this technology, and it has helped us to diagnose and treat TB more effectively. We have also used Ultra-portable digital X-ray system with Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the first time in the country, which has improved the diagnosis of Tuberculosis. Our work has been recognized by the international community, and we were awarded the Kochon Prize in 2014. We are committed to continuing our work and making a difference in the lives of people in Ethiopia.
