Reaching America

Reaching America addresses complex social issues impacting communities of color. One of the issues we do the most work on is combating energy poverty which exist when individuals are unable to afford basic heating and electric needs. Reaching America President Derrick Hollie is an experienced congressional witness that has become a trusted voice on a variety of issues and building a broad coalition of community leaders, stakeholders, organizations and lawmakers. Reaching America leverages that coalition to engage on legislation, corporate decisions, and media/public relations. The development of the Energy Poverty Project presents a unique opportunity to partner with grasstops leaders and grassroots activists on one of the most pressing issues of our time Environmental Social Governance. Reaching America coalition consists of mayors and state lawmakers in the Atlantic and Gulf coastal states along with several urban cities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. The coalition also consist of several Washington DC organizations, Congressional Black Caucus Members, Legislative Committee Members, along with local and national publications. The Reaching America coalition engages with African American Chambers of Commerce, business owners and trade associations throughout the country.
