Reading Legacies

At Reading Legacies, we work with and are in collaborations with an array of community partners such as prisons, school districts, victims services centers, detention facilities, children's hospitals, early childhood head start programs, libraries (anywhere and everywhere really) to connect families separated by incarceration and/or addiction recovery, help strengthen family bonds and empower parents or guardians as a child’s first teacher, through the cherished and impactful read-aloud experience. Our mission is to facilitate supportive relationships for children through family and friends reading aloud with them. Our vision is that all children will feel the security of caring adult relationships and develop a love of reading through the read-aloud experience.
