Reatile Gastrade

Reatile Energy (Pty) Ltd has incorporated a trading company to further develop opportunities on the natural gas pipeline from Mozambique within South Africa. Reatile Gastrade is a 100% owned subsidiary of Reatile Energy (Pty) Ltd and sister company of both Egoli Gas and Reatile Gaz. Egoli Gas has the licence from the Johannesburg City Council to reticulate natural gas within the Johannesburg metropole and Reatile Gaz markets and distributes LPG throughout South Africa as well as cross border sales of LPG to Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Maximum price has been approved by The National Energy Regulator (NERSA) for the Gauteng Province. Similarly, an application to trade in methane rich gas has been approved by NERSA for trading in KwaZulu Natal Province. Natural gas is piped by SASOL from off-shore gas fields from Temane, Mozambique by means of a 864 km pipeline (26” diameter) to Secunda at 124 bar. From Secunda the pressure is stepped down and odourised, entering the Gauteng network at the Nigel pressure reducing station. Egoli Gas feeds from the SASOL Gauteng network. Reatile Gastrade feeds from the Egoli Gas feed. Methane rich gas is fed from Secunda to Richards Bay and then down to Durban North and Durban South.
