Rechberg 1837

Welcome to Rechberg 1837 We are a small Restaurant in the heart of the old town in Zurich. Our kitchen is devoted to local products which were already available on the markets in Zurich of the early 19th century. This was the period right before the industrialisation within the food sector took place in Switzerland. We obtain those old breads of vegetables and animals from small farmers located in the area and prepare them in a modern fashion. This results in a „innovativ traditional kitchen“, which reflects the taste of Zurich. Our continually changing dishes are accompanied by a special selection of Swiss Wines and Soft Drinks. Fusion of the arts Whether readings, jazz concerts, classical concerts, comedy evenings or silent movies with live music; On Saturdays, various cultural professionals play in the restaurant and create a unique atmosphere. The kitchen of the Rechberg 1837 interpreteren the presented together with the artist in a special menu. Sort of "music to eat" or "food to listen". We are looking forward to have you as our guest.
