Reckless Yes is an independent record label and artist management agency focused on working ethically and collaboratively with our artists to create great things for members and music fans. Our roster is: Bitch Hunt, Breakup Haircut, Bugeye, Captain Handsome, Chorusgirl, The Crystal Furs, Duck, Eilis Frawley, Fightmilk, GodNo, Grawl!x, Hannah Rose Kessler, Hearts Beating in Time, Japan Review, LIINES, Mark Morriss, Mighty Kids, Nervous Twitch, Order of the Toad, The Other Ones, Panic Pocket, Paper Birch, Piney Gir, th’sheridans and Turkish Delight. Releasing on limited run and special edition vinyl, CD and digitally we distribute to independent record shops through Cargo and have supported our artists to make money through streaming, royalties, merchandise, and find further support through funding. Our artists have had coverage and airplay on 6Music, Q Magazine, Record Collector, Radio X, Louder Than War magazine, Drowned in Sound, The Line of Best Fit, Clash,The 405, Louder, and an extensive network of independent blogs, radio and podcasts. We design and deliver D2F marketing including building direct audiences for our artists through mailing lists, websites and social media activity. We believe in community rather than competition and in supporting our artists to build sustainable creative careers, on terms which meet their values. Co-founded by Sarah Lay and Peter Darrington they bring more than 25-years experience across the music industry. As bassist in Cable Peter was signed to a major label and has extensive experience of writing, recording, producing, and touring as a musician while as a music journalist and experience designer Sarah brings experience of promotion, PR, creative, and digital content. Between them they handle A&R with a view toward longer term career development, artist-led identity, and innovating to give great experiences to artists and fans. Reckless Yes is a private limited company, of which Sarah Lay is founder and director.
