RecTag is podcast discovery and beyond. We want to empower everyone to share their message, be heard and discover stories they love. As podcasters, we were quite frustrated with how hard it is to be heard and find an audience who cares - and we are not the only ones. We believe there are many talented storytellers out there who simply do not get the attention they deserve. It shouldn’t take a big media house or name behind your podcast, to get on top of the charts. At the same time, we want to give all listeners and podcast enthousiast the opportunity to discover stories and people based on the actual content and not just podcast title and description. Because books shouldn’t only be judged by their cover! That is why we are building RecTag Our AI enables content based discovery beyond simple chart lists. We use elements of social networking so you can connect to fans, that truly care about the hard work you put into your content. Furthermore, we want listeners to have a personal connection to their favorite podcasters. Why we love Podcasting Compared to its visual counterpart video, audio content carries a much greater emotional impact. Put differently, conveyed through a podcast, a story gets directly into the listeners’ ear and draws a picture in their heads. It taps into an audience’s active imagination and creates a much more intimate connection. Famous comedian and host of the “WTF with Marc Maron” podcast Marc Maron put it this way: “The medium of podcasting and the personal nature of it, the relationship you build with your listeners and the relationship they have with you- they could be sitting there chuckling and listening.There’s nothing like that.”
