Red Oak Psychotherapy

Red Oak Psychotherapy was born from a need for increased mental health services geared toward the needs of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and, more specifically, the trans and gender expansive community. Thank you for considering us in your search for a therapist. It is our belief that the most meaningful therapy is grounded in the safety and fit of the client-therapist relationship. As such, we strive to maintain a practice that is authentic, transparent, and honouring of the courage it takes to arrive in therapy. Our approach is integrative and often draws from both person-centred and narrative methodologies, which allows the therapeutic process to be tailored to your specific needs. We strive to create a warm and inclusive space that fosters collaboration, discussion, and self-exploration. We offer individual counselling services to youth (ages 10+) and adults in addition to conducting psychoeducational assessments. Our practice specializes in working with anxiety and depression, questions and considerations regarding sexual orientation and/or gender identity, grief, and challenges within interpersonal relationships. We wish to engage you in co-creating an environment that invites a sense of empowerment, in sharing your stories, and the exploring of new considerations through self-compassion.
