Why treePub when you can ePub? In years past, publishers acted as both gatekeepers and an essential part of the supply line between authors and readers. That is no longer the case. Publishing and book selling, as we’ve come to know it, is dying. It’s really that simple. Unless you’re a celebrity, already a bestselling author, or have some other high-profile platform, the only arbiter of taste is the reader, and readers are proving more and more that the convenience and ease of ebooks far outweigh anything offered by traditional treepubbers. Take the time to hone your craft and make certain that your content is professional (read: mercilessly proofread and copy edited). The rewards can be truly awesome. And the ePub movement is still in its infancy, so pay attention to what's happening.
