Construction is built on assumptions that no longer hold. Most methods assume: – continuous availability of skilled labor – centralized production of materials – stable global logistics – increasing coordination capacity These conditions are disappearing. Regulation and cost overruns are symptoms, not causes. At Redesigning Earth, we develop and validate a construction method adapted to post-industrial conditions: – persistent labor scarcity – local energy and material production – automated large-scale additive manufacturing – biological, renewable feedstocks (fungal / chitin-based) The focus is not buildings, aesthetics, or efficiency gains. The focus is whether a construction method still functions when: – labor is unreliable, – supply chains fracture, – coordination fails.
