Reed Fund

REED Fund is a community development financial institution dedicated to providing financing and helping to leverage investment to make a difference in the region.The mission of the REED Fund is to support member cooperatives in providing financing and helping leverage investment in communities and rural areas to make a difference in our region. REED offers loans that promote growth; contribute to job, business, and wealth creation; and improve the infrastructure and economic base in rural areas. The fund demonstrates cooperative principles of commitment to community and cooperation among cooperatives in a meaningful way that adds value to the local economy. REED Fund is a 501.3.3 nonprofit corporation and does not restrict its lending to members of a rural electric cooperative. REED was formed in 1996 and is owned and governed by the East River member cooperatives serving eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota.
