REEL International, is a worldwide industrial group specialized in complex lifting and handling systems as well as integrated systems solutions. These are implemented into its clients’ processes across the world in various domains such as aeronautics, aluminium, defense, nuclear and offshore. In Malaga, Spain, REEL is active through its affiliate REEL AEI, a company specialized in the design and manufacturing of drilling machines and toolings specifically for the aeronautic sector. REEL AEI developed the Satellite models of EDU for portable and light robot applications. These two-axis drilling machines are capable of drilling holes of diameters up to 24mm in automatic, with advanced functions such as: fully adjustable cutting parameters, electronic vibration drilling, first layer detection, automatic layer detection, countersink depth corrector… The Satellite, a patented technology, is the result of more than 10 years of development and it is characterized by their direct drive architecture: energy from the motors is directly transmitted to the axis without using any gear box.
