About Us Conceived and realized by citizens directly impacted by the criminal justice system, Reentry Essentials works to educate and inform individuals, families and communities of the solution-driven recidivism reduction strategies developed as a result of our efforts. Reentry Essentials strives to engage stakeholders in the exploration of real-world solutions to overcoming the challenges of community reintegration. Through civically responsible engagement, Reentry Essentials endeavors to create opportunities for a more just and socially responsible society. Mission Statement To lessen the burden of community reentry on U.S. taxpayers by leveraging the experiences of concerned and returning citizens to advance positive social supports and ensure long-term lifestyle changes. Reentry Essentials is currently developing and supporting projects and initiatives designed to address four specific areas of need centered around the cultivation of: Innovative Reentry Resources Designed to Meet the Needs of Underserved Populations. Opportunities to Engage Families and Communities in the Successful Integration of Returning Citizens. Strategies to Reduce the Number of Justice Involved Youth. Solutions to Strengthen the Lives of Children and Families Impacted by the Criminal Justice System.
